I joined the Big Brother Big Sister program in January and was matched with Magen.

There’s not much more I can say other than I love hanging out with her and I’m so happy we were matched. She’s a goof and a sweetheart and your average teen but at the same time, she’s one of the most special kids I’ve ever met.

I encourage anyone who likes hanging out with younger kids and teens to give this program a try. You need a way to get around and a little extra spending money for lunches out, but other than that all they want is a little time. And trust me, it’s worth every second.

My art final.

We had to create something meaningful to us. I drew a girl cramped into her frame with the idea that if you try to force someone into a box they don’t fit, then you’ll never see everything they can be and they won’t be able to fully express themselves. I thought of my sister throughout this so I added violets to the edges because Violet is her middle name.

Definitely needs to be cleaned up, but I like this.
